Compass Cinema is a full service, start to finish, soup to nuts, vague concept to product-on-the shelf, film and video production company. We specialize in producing story-driven media with an aim to please and instruct. Whether it’s drama, documentary, marketing or educational, the ultimate goal of our company is to thoughtfully engage hearts and minds.

Ian Kern | Director and Production Manager. Production Manager for all the Modern Parables films. Directed the documentaries in the Seek Social Justice series. Currently developing a new curriculum for teaching Latin with video. Born and raised in Oregon, matured in Idaho, and served overseas.  Ian also provides Personal Apple Support in Nashville on the side.

Thomas Purifoy, Jr. | Producer, Writer, Director and Editor. Wrote and directed the Modern Parables films and authored all the curriculum materials. Produced and co-edited the documentaries in the Seek Social Justice series. Currently editing a new series on economics and developing new products. Graduate of Vanderbilt University. Formerly a U.S. Naval Officer and the Director of a classical school in Lyon, France.

Ryan Stufflebam | Camera, Editor, Colorist, and DVD Authoring. Authored all the Modern Parables DVDs. Co-edited, colored, and authored the DVD for the Seek Social Justice series. Currently editing a new series on economics. Graduate of Belmont University and an avid photographer.
